Inner Play
Something for your hands. Space for your mind.
Like opening a drawer of well-made objects in a quiet room.
Inner Play is a small cabinet of tactile digital objects. Spin something with weight. Cross the threshold of a switch. Turn, slide, press, hold, and release—and feel the object answer honestly.
Not a task. Not a lesson. Not a score to improve. Somewhere for the hand to go.
- Spin
- Switch
- Slide
- Press & hold
Every response comes from the same physical state.
An object feels real when its movement, resistance, sound, haptics, and visible state agree. Inner Play is being built so touch creates the response—not a canned animation pretending that it did.
No streaks. No scores. No demand to return.
Inner Play can be satisfying without becoming loud, and playful without becoming childish. Open the cabinet, use what feels right, and leave without penalty.
It offers sensory play and focus-friendly interaction without making medical promises.
Rich when you want it. Complete when something is off.
Sound and haptics will have independent controls. Silence is a complete mode. Reduce Motion preserves understandable cause and effect with less continuous movement. VoiceOver exposes the object, its state, and meaningful ways to act on it.
- No state depends only on color, sound, motion, sight, or haptic feedback.
- Every primary object remains usable with sound or haptics disabled.
- Touch targets and alternative actions are part of the object from the beginning.
- Accessibility is part of deciding what the object is—not something added around it.
An intention for Inner Play
May every object answer the hand honestly.
May movement make room without making demands.
May play remain simple, dignified, and free.

The first objects are taking shape.
Inner Play is being built natively for iPhone. Its first proof begins with one believable spinner and one physical switch before the cabinet grows.
